Recipe Tacos Dorados

Make authentic tacos dorados at home.


Ingredients:

1 chicken breast

1 avocado

¼ lettuce

½ white onion

1 garlic clove

1 cup sour cream

¼ cup grated cheese

1 cup vegetable oil

½ tablespoon salt


Chicken preparation:

1.- Clean the chicken breast and put it in a saucepan.

2.- Add ½ onion, 1 clove garlic, enough water to cover the chicken breast and ½ teaspoon salt.

3.- Bring the water in the saucepan to a boil over high heat.

4.- When boiling, cover the pan and let the chicken cook in the boiling water for 20 minutes, until cooked through.


While the chicken is cooking:

1.- Cut ¼ of lettuce into strips and set aside.

2.- Finely chop ½ of the onion, when finished, set aside.

3.- Verify that the chicken is well cooked, its color should be white on the outside and inside; if not, cook it for a longer time.

4.- Remove the chicken breasts from the pan with a cooking spoon, wait for them to cool a little and then shred them and set aside.

5.- Heat 10 Mexsabores tortillas in a comal over medium heat until they are soft.

6.- Remove the tortillas from the griddle and place a little of the shredded chicken in each one.

7.- Roll all the tortillas like tacos and close them with toothpicks, at the end set aside.



Frying tacos

1.- Pour approximately 1 cup of vegetable oil in a frying pan so that it has a layer of oil.

Heat the oil in the skillet over high heat.

3.- Put in the pan the chicken tacos you prepared (the ones that fit) and fry them for about two minutes starting from the end where the tortilla was closed, until they are moderately fried, turn them regularly with tongs.

Transfer the tacos from the frying pan to some napkins with the tongs, to dry them and absorb the excess of grease.

5.- Remove the toothpicks from the browned tacos and then set aside.

Repeat the same procedure with the remaining chicken tacos.

Cut 1 avocado into strips, then set aside.

8.- Transfer the tacos from the servitoallas to a large plate.

9.-Place the following ingredients on the browned tacos:

Sour cream, chopped onion, lettuce strips you cut, avocado strips you cut, all to taste and sprinkle ¼ cup of fresh ground cheese.
