Made in Mexico by Azteca, Azteca products were born in 1991 in the south of Mexico City, in one of the areas with the highest production of nopal cactus in Mexico. Every year the company processes a thousand tons of nopal cactus, which are removed by hand; an artisanal process done by the locals.
PREPARATION
Nopales Cambray Azteca are tender, ready-to-use cactus, ideal for creating traditional Mexican dishes full of freshness and nutrients. For a light and authentic lunch, you can use them to prepare a classic ensalada de nopales : drain them, rinse them lightly and mix them with diced tomato, red onion, fresh cilantro and lime juice. Add a pinch of salt and serve with crumbled fresh cheese and warm tortillas for a simple, healthy and tasty dish.
For a creative appetizer, Nopales Cambray can be used to fill tasty quesadillas. Simply spread them on a corn tortilla with Oaxaca cheese or another melted cheese, close the tortilla in a half moon shape and heat on a griddle until golden. Serve with salsa verde or guacamole for an authentic taste of Mexican cuisine that combines tradition and flavor in every bite.
